Holstein Kiel has won the 'Pitch of the Year' Award 2025/26 in the 2. Bundesliga. The jury praised the pitch quality at the Holstein-Stadion. VfL Bochum 1848 took second place. SV Darmstadt 98 came third. The award will be presented at the Information Meeting for Greenkeepers of the Bundesliga, 2. Bundesliga, 3. Liga and Google Pixel Women's Bundesliga in September. The evaluation for the award is based on three blocks: the 'Sport Evaluation System', the 'Jury Data Check' at the stadium on site, and the seasonal data from the 'Own Check of the Stadium Greenkeeping'.
